This week, Rayshawn and Mike break down the NFL Divisional Round as the Los Angeles Rams, Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs, and San Fransico 49ers all advanced to the AFC and NFC Championship weekend. We'll discuss which teams we believe will advance to Super Bowl LVI, and why the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, Tennesse Titans, and Pittsburgh Steelers were all eliminated in the Divisional Round.
Then we discus the announcement from January 25th that Boston Red Sox Designated Hitter, David Ortiz was the lone entrant into the 2022 Class. With Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, and Curt Schilling now officially off the Ballot, does the process of electing Hall of Famers need to change or do we just need to accept that players with shady histories may never enter Cooperstown, despite what they accomplished on the field.

Hi, buddy. Yeah my buddy.
Michael Marcangelo:He had me on the show now
Rayshawn Buchanan:welcome into missing the points I am Hollywood Ray Ray Sean beginning with my guy money, Mike. Marcangelo What's up, man? How you doing? Man?
Michael Marcangelo:I was gonna say it's been a long time I find a lot I think last time we were on where it was after the beat the bills in Buffalo right? It was last time Yeah, show
Rayshawn Buchanan:everything went downhill especially for since then
Michael Marcangelo:they say shit falls apart but we're not on the air I guess. Yeah.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Or I listen I thought, you know, Joe got on be good. I thought I felt like a loss. And it did because it's just like you had to dominate the opponent. We talked about that when we all came together the following week. But yeah, that was rough. But, you know, we're past that past the home. You know, there was a really, really, really great football. This this last weekend. And so we're gonna get into that. So, you know, let's just jump right into that. So, you know, what are your thoughts after division all weekend?
Michael Marcangelo:I mean, honestly, I walked away from from last weekend thinking two things. One, I was right. Still right about about the Titans and and that team and Brady, and 44 years old, orchestrated one of the one of the best comebacks if he had never done what he did before in his career, one of the best comebacks that I've ever seen, and you know, just his, his dumb, dumb ass head coach screwed him. But I think right about the Titans, right about Aaron Rodgers. And we still know who Tom Brady is. So that those are my takeaways. Obviously, I thought that the Bengals have you. That's the story. That's a great story. And it's fun to have a couple of different teams in the in the championship. This is the first time since 2010, that Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady are not playing in on championship Sunday. So that's, that's wild.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yeah, I think, you know, to always bring basketball to it. I think that's how people looked at Shaquille O'Neal there was like something some stat with him, like as a teammate of his, that's been your finals, like the last 30 years. I think that stopped when LeBron can go a few years ago. So yeah, it's crazy how that happens. But I mean, I we got to start with those two chiefs. Like it was it was just crazy how that game unfolded. So, you know, the question I got to ask you was, you know, was that the best game you've ever seen?
Michael Marcangelo:Well, okay, so the best game now I still think 22 Three is the best game that I've ever seen. But this was the I'd never like the final two minutes of a football game. It's like you bought a basketball. The final two minutes of a basketball game can take hours. Right. And it's just boring. This was the opposite of that. Just two heavyweights going back and forth trading blows? And you just knew, I mean, or I did. I didn't think that the bills were going to we're going to do it. I I still have such faith in in Patrick mahomes in Kansas City, that when he needs to ball out, he still can't. And but but from a picture fat fan perspective, that was the greatest non Patriots game I've seen in a very long time. And we learned what I think we already knew, but we didn't want to accept it. We are light years away from being able to compete with with those two teams. So we're not the class of the AFC anymore.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yeah, no, that's, that's fair. Yeah. And like you said, as a past fan, like we have to we have to take out we had to come out of that prison, because obviously, we've seen so many great games and this fan base over the last 20 years even even even before that there was some great games, obviously. But yeah, I mean, listen, to go back and forth like that. Josh Allen was sensational. You know, like I got I got to be on that soapbox. Me and Craig talked about this when we started the show. You know, back in 2020, we mentioned that Josh Allen was the guy going forward. And you know, he would just want to believe he could do it. I was listening to us. It was like now like gods are crazy. Like no, like he showed his rookie year like, I remember that game. After there was a good Minnesota, really like he laid leapfrog the guy to get a first down and I was like, oh shit, like, if he ever figures it out, throwing and running at the same time, like, it's going to be his division and that's what's happened. Stefon Diggs is nowhere to be found. So I guess you know, it was back to back weeks that you know, someone named Diggs just wasn't available. Sorry, Bobby, love you. But just saying but it's like damn, but it's like he was talking all that shit about him being the best wide receiver When, you know someone's rhetoric was being spewed and you were on it on a milk carton he was missing is unbelievable. But I mean, listen, Gabe, Gabe Davis? Yeah, yeah, if you don't know that, you know, you know, can't finish the rest of that because you were wrong. It was like, yeah, get for just less than that. But if you don't know, now, you know about number 13. Dave Davis, he would have been up the game. But it's funny, the number 13 and playing a significant part anyways, it just wasn't that number 13. But speaking of that, because it only took 30 seconds for him to get into overtime, which is fucking insane. You know, does does the OG rules into changing your opinion?
Michael Marcangelo:Well, before I answer that, what would what do you change, like, what the bills voted against? They were the only the only team in the league that voted against the what the current iteration of overtime. So now that now they're going to cry, because the change that they didn't even want, you know, to make it more fair for overtime. It was it's, it's now not fair for them. I just don't know what there shouldn't be ties, for sure. But you know, you have a number one defense scoring defense in the league this year. Stop them. Right, just stop them. That's all you have to do. Or hold them to a field goal. And then use your use your offensive firepower and drive down the field and score touchdown. I I truly don't The only thing that I would change about overtime rules would be the tires that's in the regular season. I don't think I mean, I, I don't think that they need to change. I mean, do you and what would you have them do?
Rayshawn Buchanan:I mean, to me, I think it would be cool to maybe shorten or bring it back down to 10 minutes, right? Bring it out 10 minutes, and have each team had that possession. Like if you scored an eight, they have a chance to come and score like I just call it right. I think that to me is more exciting. Clearly, I think to me the way Josh Allen weighted the way those guys were playing on Sunday, there's no doubt in my mind, Josh Allen would have tied that game. Immediately after like that. If the rhythm was just there, that cadence was there. Maybe you'll hire ironic because, you know, the old those two Buffalo Bills office was called the K gun, you know, office back in the day with Jim Kelly Thurman Thomas, you know, they're there by receivers, escaping me at this moment, but, you know, either way, they he would he would have matched the people he was playing as well as mahomes on Sunday. So, I just think that's something that we should have been able to see, you know, even same thing a couple years ago, right, you know, kind of city was trying about, you know, an airhead you know, obviously, you know, they they get Delete on a tie it in overtime. And, uh, you know, you know, we went to toss me in New England, and, you know, like I, I told someone else, I did a guest spot. So Yo, I said when, when Brady got that ball in ACC championship game, that stadium knew Tony Romo. And Jim Nance knew everybody knew it was ballgame. It was over. like, Yo, drag drive home safety fans, you know, have a great night, we knew who'd we knew what was going on. So yeah, I mean, am I glad that it wasn't changed at that time? Hell yeah. But what as a as a as someone who wasn't involved in this Sunday, would have loved to see that, then go back and forth and just kind of see who has the most points to the end? Absolutely. But, you know, I mean, granted, I agree with you that the time listen that wouldn't that needs to go there still tonight in the playoffs where it's hard to share some of the team in the previous years. I know anyway, all the time. So we need to we need to get rid of that one. So I'm so I'm trying to win windows 10 to six to 1x. And we're like what did he do it? We got a little bit. It's gonna happen next year, isn't it?
Michael Marcangelo:Well, you could do though, to make it a little bit more interesting to put some more game planning in it is, what if the winner of the coin toss at the beginning of the game? Gets to also decide if they're going with you? Do they want to receive the ball to start the game? Or do they want to receive the ball to start overtime? Assuming that it goes there a year, it's already been decided. So now there's game planning. And I think, because i We can't just say, well, we're just gonna play until both teams have a chance to score a touchdown. Like, you really can't do that. Right. But yes, regular season overtime rules need to change as a fan of the of football. I thought this game was was excellent. I thought that it was the right ending the better team one. Yeah. And yeah, it's like, don't cry about something. When you have a top five I think they are that they were the best defense in the league. So what what the hell are you doing?
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yeah, I mean, it they can't say the case. Oh, we didn't have trade. Wait. chirwa has been off for weeks. That data's gonna do it. Right. Indeed, guess what 50 would have sourced they asked regardless because when he's on there's no one and I mean No one that can stop you. So it doesn't matter.
Michael Marcangelo:a flick of the wrist and the ball goes 50 yards down the field. It's unbelievable.
Rayshawn Buchanan:But or or you don't fucking play prevent, you know that it's just like what are we doing? Why why are you you know just backing up backing up backing up and then the the guys that you need to cover, you know, Tyree kill and Chad was Kelsey was at their video just came out today, you know as recorders are on a Friday, but they Oh my god, they were so oh my god. Hey, you know, hey, he said, You're gonna guard me like this. Yeah, I've seen Ross open. So he literally sees literally seeing the plays app in right before his eyes. And it happened. You know, as we know, Travis Kelsey is winning on and off the film. Listen to Vera. She just girlfriend. He said GCC is amazing. She She said she is a 10 It is unbelievable. But needless to say, like I said a better team one. And I'm excited to see them and let's we'll talk about that during our conference. Championship prediction. So any any last words on this before we move on?
Michael Marcangelo:I mean, I think I lead off with my with my final words, and I apologize for that. But I bring it back to you know, through the prism of the New England fan. You're like we are you are far away. It's not close anymore. So all you know you spent $250 million guaranteed last year and you're still this far away from from competing with those two teams.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yep. It is unfortunately no you it starts to get go get my god Alabama number age I mentioned I'm obey that gentleman. So they're doing it. And I'm gonna keep up keep screaming at me. So now listen, you know, our guy is perfect. I'm doing a show with our guy Tom. Tampa, Tom now. Uh, you know, the Brady Bunch down in Tampa Bay man, rams bucks before. But before we get into Brady, you know, you know, I gotta gotta ask you this question that I've I've been waiting. I've been waiting to ask you this. Has your narrative on Matt Stafford changed after this game. Now.
Michael Marcangelo:Matt Stafford did everything that he possibly could to lose that game in the fourth quarter. And the only reason that the Rams won is because that moron of a head coach decided that that's the time that he was going to call a blitz. Yeah, I mean, and you leave the the best wide receiver in the game, one of the top five right.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Now he's busted again, uncovered?
Michael Marcangelo:What are you doing? Like that? Todd Bowles? I don't even know if that was I blame Ariens because I thought that we saw the adjustments that Tampa made in the second half. And I believe that that was all, you know, that was all Todd Bowles. So I don't know. I truly have no idea what Ariens was thinking but you can not like I mean, Cooper cup caught every past night that will drive every pass. What do you what are you doing? Like that's the time he played prevent T fence honestly. I mean, or you play zone. But you think about it. They're down what 27 to 320 73. And then in the second half. Map, I read Matthew Stafford, he had a pretty good game, it was what 28 to 38 for the game. I'd argue that majority of his of his incompletions came in the second half. He was sacked twice. I thought that that team did everything that they possibly could do, to try and lose it. So yeah, my listen, I think Matt Stafford has always had the the unfortunate circumstance of having a putz as a head coach, and he played in Detroit. Aside from Caldwell, I thought I thought that was that was that was the best for him. But now he's with he's with someone who doesn't fear anybody. I think the one thing that I had that I that I took from this is yeah, maybe even the players on the field. We're getting a little rattled on on Sunday, but McVeigh wasn't like he kept his team in there. So long story short, no, I still think Matthew Stafford is a loser until he wins.
Rayshawn Buchanan:No, I made that that's fair. We disagree on this.
Michael Marcangelo:I think you don't say yeah,
Rayshawn Buchanan:I'm a messed up for support. Like I've said recently on the show. I want him to replace Brady in New England. I think he's the real deal. Once again, when you've made the careers of Brandon Pettigrew, tennis young, Marvin Jones, obviously Megatron, like it did not matter who was weapons were the man put up numbers year after year after year after year. Now granted, most of the time, they didn't really have a strong running game. So obviously if you don't have a running game, you're gonna have to throw it but he can certainly put up numbers. You know, I always loved his toughness. I say he won me over it really is working. his rookie year was a game is 100 Full films. You know, basically it's almost like your shoulders kind of separate or like the guy had on the shoulder. And he's like, No, look, I'm gonna finish I'm gonna finish the fucking game or whatever. I'm paraphrasing but You know, get gets the game winning job and I was like, Oh, like this this kid is is real, like he's, he's gonna be he may turn the tide for the show and once again, for them as bad as they've been for him to get to the playoffs twice with them like he did they should be there should be a statue outside of Ford Field that for it for getting him to the playoffs, you know twice twice in his career over there. So,
Michael Marcangelo:I will say before we move on from before we move on from Stafford though, like I understand like when I say things like this people really well, you know, we played for a bad team. I get that I understand that. I think in its history in Detroit, Matthew Stafford felt like he had to play hen you know, 10 levels above where he was at that time. So he opened himself up to making more mistakes because in reality it was him to Megatron it was him and Golden Tate it was him and whoever was next. That would be the reason as to why that they were gonna win that game. They're gonna lose because of the lions. The only reason you're going to win is because is because of the things that he did. So for him to become a winner. I think he needs to understand the moment right and I thought he was getting a little tense in this game. I'll be really interested to see how he plays against the against the Niners on on Sunday, because that that'll be talent. If he thinks that he has to be the reason that they win and do it all. They're gonna lose that because that team's good enough or they just need him not to make mistakes.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Say we put a prediction pharmsaver We don't know that. That's that's that once again, that valid point. I just think it was so fitting that it was sue that was making the rush towards him as he throws the past a cup. It was just like, hey, you sucked in Detroit? Or will we both sucked in Detroit? I'm trying to stop you. And just a nice little Flick, flick flick of the wrist. And Cooper cup was just sitting there you know had a chance to get some lemonade. Yes Good. Had a chance to get a solid but with all that it was crazy.
Michael Marcangelo:Unfortunately for Tampa, sorry for a step on your shoulders there but unfortunately for Tampa, the dama can sue was the closest defended Cooper cup. But what the hell were they doing? What were they doing?
Rayshawn Buchanan:It let's say it's on with him. You did? Yeah. Hey, buddy. You get us talking a lot of shit last year after you know what y'all did? I decided we're going to boys and I get that but Whoo. I don't know. I don't know. Like this is this is your markers louder, more moment. Like you you all take forever, buddy. You want to take forever is on a loop. I know gonna wash about 20 times this week. It's sad. It's sad brother, but you knew you you were on. You want a blooper reel for a long time until you unless Y'all come back and win next year. And people will forget why but I want to get good. I'm gonna I'm gonna keep talking about it. But it was. But it was crazy to see but, you know, hey, you know, at the end of the day, you know, they made enough plays, you know, to win but, you know, that's that's a bring it to to our guy. Obviously, you know, he mounts a great comeback. What had been his greatest comeback? Obviously, we NFC Wiegand, suitable, you know, five years prior. But you know, does he does he hang it up after this? Is he done after this? In your opinion?
Michael Marcangelo:So like, right after the game, I was I was thinking that he's he doesn't want to go out this way. Well, I maybe I'm Alright, so here's, here's my honest take, because I've been I've been thinking about this literally since the game on Sunday. He's got nothing left to prove. He in that game, he was the reason that they that they tied it up. Right. 2727 It was him. I mean, he played such an immaculate second half that he always mentioned is you know, this is kind of like a cheapy. Right, or sorry, the show formerly known as GPU trademark, not implied, but like taker, like he never wanted to leave. He didn't he didn't want to stay too long and become a caricature of himself. Right? If there was ever a way for Brady to leave and walk away, and you know, like, that is the best way to go out. Aside from winning a Super Bowl, this is it. You're down 27 to three with what four minutes left in the third quarter. And you put your team back to tie it up? Like, yeah, you should you should go out now. I don't know if he's going to. Also, you know what, I'll say he's done. I'll say, Oh,
Rayshawn Buchanan:okay. Okay, so you had that all waxed? So okay, so I feel like this one, so Okay, let's let's let's stay there with the rest of them. I just, you know, you got to do wrestling guys on here. So, you know, Craig Craig is behind the scenes for us. But let's just say this is his WrestleMania 33 moments. And we're doing we'll take it right. You know, the Rams like the Roman Reigns, and you know, they ended up you know, defeating him like, Man, I can't believe he lost like this. Like he said he shouldn't have lost this early. Did you know, then the next year comes back where she has a squash match against Tina, but it looks looks looks great. So to me I think he'll have a moment like that where he comes back next year. And they'll kind of maybe run through people again at age 45.
Michael Marcangelo:It can't be in Tampa though.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Hey, come on, I'm all about
Michael Marcangelo:that they're so screwed with cap space that they can't afford to keep him and everybody else.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Don't come home and it's on. Come on. Oh, he
Michael Marcangelo:wants to he wants to leave throwing to my Kevin's Rob Gronkowski you know, Scotty Miller and he wasn't doing it. He was learning to kill Harry and and and and. And Jacoby Meyers like love, love you managed to go be your supporter on the show. But the only place that Brady would go that I think makes the most sense that with that he has an actual shot to win a Super Bowl next year is Tennessee. But they can't do that because if they cut, they cut orange. Yeah, if they if they cut Tannahill that's $15 million of dead cap
Rayshawn Buchanan:space is worth it.
Michael Marcangelo:I mean, you're not wrong.
Rayshawn Buchanan:That yeah, thank you, Craig is worth every freakin penny. I do it tomorrow. I said I'd get him a guitar out of the New City Museum, whatever it is. Out there. Nashville, whatever. They want it. Seal it. You get a signed autograph from Dolly Parton. Whatever you want. I'm making it happen today to do it. Like that. There's no way we saw this. We saw this man, Lou and I might we might as well get down to that might be brought up right now. So we can bring up bangles. But the man lost the game. He lost. Like two picks. And I know I know. I can feel my hand read. So you know, I'm asking for the text. It was his first game of weeks, but it's okay. Riots in her lost that game. So listen, if listen if my grayble wants to keep his job. And as his legacy outside of you know what he did as a player? Mike, listen to me. Coach rabl Listen to him, sir. Get rid of 17 He's not worth He's not worth your job. Not worth
Michael Marcangelo:it. And his defense. He didn't shell out the 60 million or whatever. 120 million that I found. That was the GM that was a bad, bad signing. Now in their defense, though. See, this is the thing that happens with Ryan Tana. He rolls you into the sense into this false sense of security. He has a great year, one great year, he limits his mistakes like, Whoa, this is who we should have been come out of college. This is who we thought he was gonna be. Yeah, why was Libra then he then he gets paid. And you're like, oh, I can throw? Yeah, I'm interesting. I'm just gonna throw it everywhere. And he just throws up all over himself. Not a good way either. It's it's embarrassing. It's embarrassing how? How predictable it was. Right? So when I tell you that Derrick Henry will can never be the reason that the Tennessee Titans won the Super Bowl or hit your running back can never be the best player on your team. I know that you can point to Marshall Falk in 1999. Right. I get it. Kurt Warner was willing to deal in that year. However, if you have just to tie this all back. It's like a Joe rabbit hole. And to tie this all back. If, if you if you have the ability to bring Tom Brady to Tennessee, you can let Derrick Henry run wild because you know that when you have to throw the guy that needs to throw it knows where to throw it can get it there and we'll make a stupid decision.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Oh, AJ, and Julio hoof.
Michael Marcangelo:Did I mean, at 44 he beat you. It'd be 45 Did you see the way he was selling the ball on Sunday?
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yeah, I mean, listen, I mean, we're gonna be just a just a 1% objective. He was shaking the first half but and that led to them being smacked. So let's just let's let's put that out there too. If we're going to get the credit words do like in case you didn't win the game, there's so long so you know, his he had to play to make the second half because the first the first half wasn't? Mmm. subpar.
Michael Marcangelo:I was up at two. And he did. Oh, yeah, I
Rayshawn Buchanan:know. For sure. For sure. I mean, that's Listen, that's what he always does. Like, I couldn't believe all the text I was getting like, and I'm getting tagged with stuff like yo, like, your boy is washed. He's this. He's that and I'm like, just like Steven A give your time. Just give a time. He's going to get the job done. He always does. And it was a Big Daddy Kane, I get the job done. I work baby like that. That definitely does that. That's what that man does. He puts in work. But needless to say my final word on that. Listen, man, get Get get 10 out of it. Get out of there. I would I wish they I mean, if I'm Derrick Henry, I'm driving him to the airport. Immediately. That's the case immediately, say shaking his hand saying Hey, brother. It's been real. You know, we have some great moments but you know, is it sea level? But you know as well,
Michael Marcangelo:just so you did but you didn't answer. It's pretty Didn't know he's coming back.
Rayshawn Buchanan:But I don't think he goes to Tennessee though. I'll I don't know where he's gonna go but honestly, actually No What? No, I'll put it on wax. I think I think he replaces Jimmy jr. San Francisco.
Michael Marcangelo:Oh, because
Rayshawn Buchanan:he's done it I think I think I think he's done. I think Jimmy G under San Francisco Bay lose. Well when they lose could they not come to me they're gonna be we're getting so we'll get into that I'll save it for but I think it will place Jimmy G which is what you know all the storylines with that would be phenomenal. Could
Michael Marcangelo:you imagine that? Jimmy to the NFC title game and then gets friggin hosted by Brady again. Oh, oh. So there are two spots besides Tennessee. That I think he can go to that they have the cap space because they're there. Their other next quarterback is on a rookie deal. Miami or San Francisco. Now, Lady G she loves she loves Florida doesn't want to leave. Right doesn't like the cold that you know and who knows? I don't know like he's weighing. You know his family's decisions more. That's, that makes sense. He's dedicated the last 20 years of it. Miami would be fun. Just to watch him drop it on Bill's forehead twice a year like I'd have I have lived
Rayshawn Buchanan:down here. Yeah.
Michael Marcangelo:But, I mean, I got immediate that's him going to San Francisco. That's the boiler dream coming true. And if you can do that, I mean, I'm in. I'm in.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Right. And it's like Yeah, yeah, that all I just want to start my perspective. I need that to happen. Oh, and then he throws a pass to George kiddo. Like Montana to the clerk. All gifts the Cowboys off. Oh, that would be that'd be that'd be a better way that we ever would do it perfect.
Michael Marcangelo:If Brady chose to, to. Okay, now, this is a big hypothetical. We're gonna Yeah, we're going to we're really worried that let's do it. You know, it's ready to go to San Fran. Gronk gonna go with them. So now you have Brady Kittel and grock. Along with at debo. I mean you get everyone. Oh,
Rayshawn Buchanan:oh, oh, let's say I'm getting a football bone or thinking about that. I'm not
Michael Marcangelo:gonna say Did you know that? You need a happy tissue, right.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Oh my god. Well, let's go to my week. I said we got another 30 minutes on that, obviously. So let's let's leave that there. So listen, pack pack is 49 years. That was another game, you know, that ended, you know, down to the wire. So I got asked a bunch of guy Aaron Rodgers. So you know, should he get full blame for the loss or? Because of? Because it's cold? Yeah, that is cool. Yeah. It was. It was going out that
Michael Marcangelo:was that his first time playing Green Bay in January. It wasn't the most he doesn't play there often in January or only plays or once usually, but he's been there since what 2005 2006 Figure it out. It's going to be cold. I told you. I not you directly or specifically but the listening audience last. Last time I was on with Joe. I will never pick Aaron Rodgers to win again in January or February. Ever. To quote a great a great head coach. He is who I thought he was. And he always will be. He's He's a choker. Now it was a well he didn't lose a game for you. Sure. He damn sure didn't win it. I mean, you have back to back MVP caliber years. And in your first game after a buy that you earned because you tore through the entire league making me look like a jackass. 2029 225 yards. No touchdowns. Yep, that's who you are. That is exactly who you are. So no, it's it's his fault. It's always going to be his fault. Always. Yeah, he's one of those Super Bowls. Sure. He's also one in five and conference. Title games. The man he's a great player. Right? He has questionable medical advice. But well, I would just say he is the definition of of a choke artist. And I'm glad he got his ring. But he's never in a conversation with Brady. You know what he's never in a conversation with Troy Aikman like we all we always dog on on on Bobby on the show? Sure. Even one. He won three titles. This guy's I mean, I'm so sick of Aaron Rodgers. I in what's going to be more fitting is he's going to go to he's going to go to a place like Pittsburgh Right, I can see we went to Pittsburgh next year, all those weapons, they're going to go to 16 and one in the regular season, and then he's going to choke in the playoffs because that's what he does.
Rayshawn Buchanan:I trust Mike Tomlin what I chose my Lazar. So it is a little different. I chose Mike Tomlin, Jolie's get to AFC Championship he'll get there he'll get there where Rogers you can get straight up with a guy that you still throw and then you know Nachi Harris is doing his thing on the ground. He's gonna close that note I've I've that should just stay with me when it comes to getting all my Tomlin I used to get on him quite a lot early on but
Michael Marcangelo:that wasn't that wasn't that wasn't a knock at my Tomic. Let's just say no, no, I
Rayshawn Buchanan:know. I'm saying I Yeah, yeah, but the coaching matters. We just talked about the coach messing up and stuff for Brady like talking about it. So my Tom is gonna he just he gets the job done. I said Amanda had a losing season, they find a fit, they fit they find a way so I think he'd be awesome over there. Personally, I think he's going to demo him and Jerry God. People talk about mahomes in in hell as they should. But Aaron Rodgers to Jerry, Judy, like it would be you when you talk about class and session? classroom session.
Michael Marcangelo:It's it's cold in Denver in December.
Rayshawn Buchanan:So Jerry, Judy. So tell you man, it would be if that that would be special. That would be special. That'd be a special combination. You obviously that that whole team has stay healthy. They have a decent defense but oh my god, I didn't have image Judy I would I would pay to see that. You know as much as possible. And then you get to see Muhammad tickets Roger twice a year all first couple that died that would be beautiful to watch. You know, we got robbed a bit this year, you know, because of this question about medical advice. But that's a whole nother topic for another day. But yeah, no, I you know, I had to ask that question. I want to set you up I do dial up. You send it home by Blake reference. So I appreciate that. Yeah, of course. Of course. You should get the blame of course of course. When you're when you're the best player when you're when you're the highest paid on the team you should get the lion's share of blame now. He didn't let's say he didn't lose it, Dan when it especially seniors lost a game though. Sure, you know, when block punt you know, block field or whatever so they go and return to you know, they get it gets returned for a touchdown so that that's the game but to me it's just wild that you know you have to Monsanto knew that he knew that Aaron Jones you know, got your boy back your rental car bought all this stuff going on. And you still couldn't get Devon like satellite dish seven points would have been enough like this this this would have been the 2000 I think the 2018 championship game with Oakland in Baltimore that that's that's all you got to do. Your defense showed up they was there they are all you got to do and DeVos has finished and the sharper the game. You saw a little quick slant he run 80 yards ballgame. Now, now as you against now she will give Stafford again and you could just get double check saying that you own Matt Stafford like he's had his whole career that's what it would have been but no you could you could you could you could have scored some points. So now you're home on the couch like the rest of us and junk in the rest of the NFL playoffs getting its own studios and cheese dip or salsa depending on what you like a nap. Oh, now you're on the couch for the thing
Michael Marcangelo:about him though is like in last offseason, we heard all you know, I just would have you know, you think with all the all the stuff that I've done here. And you know, people would have me you know, help make the decisions that could be an ambassador for Green Bay. Why would anyone want to go to Green Bay to play one game in January and go watch the Superbowl with the rest of us? There. They know everyone I know. Again, he's one of the greatest, most athletic quarterbacks that I've ever seen. The guy is just not a winner. Now when it counts, he is you know, every generation has it. And he's, he's Peyton Manning, Peyton Manning 121. Two, but they'd always had always had great regular seasons, right? Always and then for a long time, until about 2006 What was he? What was he six and six and nine and his playoff record? Something like
Rayshawn Buchanan:that? Yeah, I remember the 41 Nothing blowout actually to the Jersey I'm wearing. This is a New York Titans old school jets Jersey here. And just guy Chad parenting outplayed Peyton Manning on ABC I'll never forget, I was like, wow, this is 41 Nothing. I said, Wow. Pay many offense scores.
Michael Marcangelo:I just noticed that, you know, over the last couple of weeks, there's been a lot of talk again by Rogers that, you know, he does or doesn't do certain things because he could be allergic to one of the ingredients. The only ingredient that that man is alluded to is fucking winning. When it matters.
Rayshawn Buchanan:What alive. Love it. Love it. soundbite baby. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. Well, let's talk about that one. And that's San Francisco. So, you know, are they really your mind?
Michael Marcangelo:Yeah, I think that Austin's the two things that worry me about San Francisco. Number one. I do think that Shanahan is a little too cute with the offense. Right? I think sometimes the moment does get a little too big for him, and he can eat any tries to out think everyone every scheme instead of doing the simple thing. That being said, because of how dynamic debo Samuel is, because of how the emergence of what we think in the playoffs of Elijah Mitchell, you always have George keel. Jimmy G doesn't need to be a hero again, he just needs to not lose you the game. I mean, by God, he tried in Dallas. He tried a little less in Green Bay, but he didn't play well. He didn't play great. I do think that that there for you. When you say for real, do you mean, do I think that they could win the Super Bowl this year? Because I don't think that I think but I do think that they could be the 2000 New York Giants. Yeah,
Rayshawn Buchanan:that's the one note.
Michael Marcangelo:2000 New York Giants.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Oh, 200. Wow, you did it would give me 35 to seven. Wow. Wow. Yeah. Okay. I mean, that's that's I mean, you know, just I mean, they they can run I think a little bit better than that senior. I don't I don't remember too much about that team. Remember young Tiki Barber, you know, I think was Carrie column. That guy back then. And Carrie Collins was and as Chris Berman was, say, a mighty well dressed tumor. Oh, man, shout out to Chris Berg. But know that, ya know that that's that's possible. That's possible. You know, they did they show up there. And then they just get, you know, get shellacked once they get there. But I mean, I think they're definitely for real. I think somebody they are closer to what we saw from the later giant scenes in the 2000s. Not necessarily the, you know, the two delta t but who knows, you know, they've already beat you know, la twice. So you know, what, what's up? We'll get into that. But yeah, I mean, I think they're definitely legit. And I think Shanahan tried to get cute with the office because he felt like he has to, like, you know, just the same thing with Josh over here. Like, we feel like you have to be, you know, creative and more creative. You know, because you don't trust who's behind,
Michael Marcangelo:you know, center. Well, but there's a difference between not that there's a difference between not trusting a rookie, and not trusting God that you just paid again. $100 million for right. So either he's not the guy. And if he isn't fine, but I think we both know. I mean, I don't wanna speak for you. So I'll speak for myself. I know that Jimmy G is capable of winning a game where he throws it 30 times?
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yeah, I agree. We've seen it. Yeah,
Michael Marcangelo:we've seen it. I mean, his first game that he played for the Patriots against the Cardinals that year. That was, I mean, he showed up, I think, I think Jimmy G does have an inherent winning kit, you know, couple opposite of who we just spoke about winning quality to him. So it wouldn't shock me. And it's not a coincidence. But two out of the last three years of Jimmy G has been healthy. They've made the conference title game to each of those years. And the Super Bowl.
Rayshawn Buchanan:But no, but that that's all you and I were trying to say I think it was it was a Bobby wasn't defending, defending Jamie Jones off again. But that's all we were saying. 2017 he gets there. They win their last five games for 10 weeks plant like, this is something that does, there's a presence there. Like just having you know, a, you know, not having a quarterback is not everything, but not having one is like you gotta have somebody shout to Kanye was I used that live with him, where it's like, hey, you know, it's just like, hey, you've got you've got to, you've got to have someone back there that the that the the players say, okay, you know, what, if I need to drive, if I need to play on 37 I trust this guy to get it done. And I remember even the saints game a few years ago when he wants to win a DNA match to the title I mean to the Superbowl, you know, they put a 45 I think in New Orleans, he he was he was throwing that pigskin all over, all over the field, all up and down, you know, Bourbon Street, so he was getting whatever he wanted. So when he's on and he's locked in, he's as good as anybody. And, you know, I said, we're gonna find out soon. But yeah, I mean, like, so to answer my own question. Yes. I believe they're for real I think they can get into, you know, the Super Bowl. So any last words before we move on? So that last game and then we'll get to the predictions?
Michael Marcangelo:Now, I think I said all I need to say about about ar 12
Rayshawn Buchanan:Beautiful. Well, let's talk about JB nine. So Joe burrow man, Tiger cane Zog Joe, Guy special man. So, you know, what did you learn about Bertha just this last weekend?
Michael Marcangelo:I mean, I think he's a force to be reckoned with in the AFC for a very long time. Now. I think, you know, we talked about this, you know, in the offseason, we did say that they're probably gonna go get Jamar Chase but they probably should protect him and get and get alignment. We were wrong about that they they made the right call. And now now now they need to make sure that they protect him because this man, he there is no moment too big for him. He's proved that he has like he does have a swagger about him too. But he stopped telling me that we're underdogs. We're sick of that narrative. I love that. I absolutely love that. And he goes, was he 2028 of like 20 to 37 for like 350 yards. And yet he threw a pic. But he bought and I mean, that team if Joe Mixon is healthy. And Jamar Chase T Higgins. I mean, that's a great offense and their defense showed up to I mean, I would say I don't want to I don't want to spoil your next segue but I I knew that the Bengals were going to beat the Titans because the Titans need to win a game. The way that they win a game is by controlling the clock a lot like the Patriots won this year, right? Because for whatever reason, Tannahill will screw up. So they need they need methodical drives, or Derrick Henry, you know, has let's say 25 carries for 130 yards and two touchdowns and they and they own time possession when they go up against the team that can score first and score fast. It's done, then you have to rely on on Tannahill. But to know that, you know, you're too the Joe burrow was everything that you thought he would be when you drafted him. I mean, Cincinnati should be really happy with themselves for the next 10 to 15 years.
Rayshawn Buchanan:No Yeah, for sure. I mean, listen, special talent. I said that to lead off the segmental II is he is phenomenal. Like I said not he's never scared, you know, and that's in several boat. You know, he's embraced. He's embraced being a bangle he's clearly the best quarterback the pastor's Boomer sizing and I know those are listening will say well what about Carson Palmer? Yes comes of home I had a few good years there. Unfortunately. You know, the Steelers ended that you know that knee injury kind of changed everything for him over there so I'll start so put some decent numbers over there but you know, he will be remembered as the best number nine in Big History and then you know if he they get so bored and somehow when it he odd he already passes Boomer and I know what I know, but was MVP. I know he obviously you know he got there against San Francisco and got slaughtered it was a joke the game was over so they got the bus. But yeah, it was like he's been Joe Joe's been awesome. And you know, it knows maybe you know I mean it's a little over 50 years ago but maybe you know this this job reminded me of another Joe you know that that came against you know a Goliath back in the day and found a way to get it done so
Michael Marcangelo:as long as as long as he doesn't try and get it done with Suzy Kolber just fine
Rayshawn Buchanan:oh god okay yes, yes. Yeah.
Michael Marcangelo:Keep keep that in there. It's fine I have
Rayshawn Buchanan:to be ready for that shit. But I never fucking that's the problem never really finish it. But it's just a what what I mean what can we say about the Titans dead man like I mean kids I have only like you know, they remind you of but for me I can only go that's I could paralyze something basketball. sent me the Titans or the Utah Jazz of a football. It's a death by 1000 paper cuts. They're gonna play the right way. And you know, once you get to the postseason, you know, they'll have a game we like them. They really can they can go you know, Mitchell's been go bear all those guys and then bam, someone that likes that someone that can score like a 40 on your head and it's like, oh, wait a minute when we have one gear, and that's the problem they have. And it just it just it takes them out of the game like immediately. So is that is that accuracy? Or do you have another analogy you can use?
Michael Marcangelo:No. I mean, I think that that's completely accurate. I'm just trying to figure out like modern day NFL who I would compare them to you right? The my first my first thought was it it was the like the early 2000. Giants and ravens but the Ravens could let I mean they wanted you know, early on, but they have a guy that can throw I can throw he can throw the ball might anybody but he would prefer to throw to the other team with accounts that they had a great running back. You know what? They are the Minnesota Vikings before Brett Farve got there. Okay, great, great rushing attack. They have great skill players. They just don't have the guy under center that can can make them better. Coaches. Good. Pretty good. Right? defenses. They showed up to I mean, the Bengals are pretty high powered offense. 19 points. Put Good. They just don't have the guy. So I would say it's it's yeah, it's that. It's that for that Minnesota Viking see when he was running, you know, 2000 yard seasons and you had Percy Arvin, and you had? Oh God, Sydney. Hello, Cindy. Cindy rice. Yeah. Yep. Sidney rice and like, you just, you just couldn't do it. That I think that's them.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yeah, no, that's yeah, that's even better person for those that don't follow basketball as I just always think about that. But yeah, my analogy was go your analogy is good. And yeah, they're just a team that you know, let's it there. There really are a QB away from getting something done. So when it was made, maybe maybe I say it's very next year. Maybe there's someone else made? Maybe it's energy. I don't know. Jimmy G goes over there. I think that would be I think, you know what, that'd be pretty cool to me. Pretty cool to see Jimmy G and and in Tennessee uniform. You know, that'd be awesome.
Michael Marcangelo:I mean, not only is he killed, has he killed their playoff chances in the last couple of years by playing, but he's such an anchor to that team Tannahill that contract. And that's that's real money. That isn't cap is crap. dogshit this is real $50 million. You're on the hook. And if you cut him, you can't get out of that. So based on how he's played, what team would take him. What team needs a quarterback so desperately that they would that they would take Ryan Tana Hills contract. Houston now the other problem I mean, they still don't.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yeah. Yeah, they they they do have a call,
Michael Marcangelo:but I don't know then. Jalen. Jalen Mills is fine. He's fine. He's fine.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Oh, don't Davisville you know, Davis. I'm sorry. I say yeah, I might. Yep. No. Yep. Yeah. Oh, no, the Jalen, Jalen is down there and Houston enjoy the day but he's playing really want basketball but um, yeah, but ya know, I got you know, Dave Davis mills. Yeah, he did. He did. Okay, but it's fine. To me, I can see them saying, hey, you know, once you come on down here and do it, so I could totally see them doing that. But I will say this before we get into our predictions, right. sent to Hell for what I could think I'm zooming so much. I didn't I didn't look this up. And you know, Kraken can fact check me in the chat to be nice, too. But Rajender has received a $96 million deal. And then he got 118. So quick math. You know, that's $214 million. It feels right. That Destiny cites to him. Yeah, it feels right. But it's very wrong. Very wrong. It's very wrong. Well, I listen. What will as this show continues to grow? We need to find out what Ryan Ryan's handheld agent is. That's what that's what that's what we need to figure out. Who is your agent Ryan Santa Hill, because we need you to represent Mr. The place. I need that to happen. And either way, we're gonna be worth the money to tell you that right now. If you want. Yeah, yeah, go ahead. Yeah, go ahead. We need to find that man. Because it's unbelievable.
Michael Marcangelo:He's from ca sports. And what was the question? You're asking Bo's contract?
Rayshawn Buchanan:No, no. So he got a $96 million deal. And you got 118 Correct. It's guaranteed. Yeah, crazy. Crazy. But I'm saying we need to find out who the agent is cuz I'm like, listen, as we continue to grow weed, we need someone that's going to fill the baby cows just like that. Right? Like it's amazing. I'm not mad at it.
Michael Marcangelo:I don't know your name, sir. Or ma'am. Yeah, all I can tell you is we won't cost you as much and we will damn sure show up when it matters. So you should bank on us. Right? That's right. It's by it's Brian Ralt from ca sports
Unknown:booth Hey Brian.
Michael Marcangelo:Welcome to the show.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yeah friends the show Yeah, yeah. Best friend. Best friend my my my bestie my buddy wherever you go on go Brian. I need I need I need I need that type of money the dog Hi buddy. Yeah my buddy buddy. He had me on the show now that's what I want that to be today with episode so badly. My book. I know I won't be but I just for my I want to be my buddy. I got most Yeah, please. But let's get into the conference championship. So we've kind of danced into it. But so we got bingo sheet. So you know what are your keys to the game for that one mic.
Michael Marcangelo:Okay, well, the keys to the game are don't let Patrick mahomes Score 50 Right delete $1 That happened. Or 40 Yeah, maybe if you have defenders that you think can stay within five yards of Tyree kill. Let them do that. Right like because if you play soft coverage against him, they're just gonna they're just gonna dump it out and flat and he's gonna burn you. So that I think that but the cheese receivers They remind me a lot of you know, I'm Turn with this Flashback Friday, but they remind me a lot of the early 2000s Colts. Like if you knock them off their spot early, it's hard for them to get there. But if you just let them run their routes as they're designed to do, they will tear you up, and they will spit you out. So don't let that happen. I also Kansas City lost to the bending the Benkler the beater. I mean, they beat them in in January. It was what 3431. So, again, typically when you go into arrowhead, you're going to have some New York against mahomes and Hill and, and Kelsey, that moment gets pretty big for you. I don't think the moments going to be too big for Jobar. The you just got to be able to keep up so Jamal Chase needs to show up. Cincinnati's defense needs to just not suck enough to lose. And if those two things happen, I think I think I think Berta will do and enough enough to win. I mean, if you think about it this way, sorry for rambling. The Bengals average 27 points per game. The Chiefs average 28 points for you. The Bengals allowed 17 and a half points for a game. The Chiefs allowed 28 and a half points for game. So the Bengals could score just about as much as the Chiefs can. And their defense is better. So on paper, I know it's an arrowhead. I know it's my home was about to go back to his no trying to get back to his third straight Super Bowl. I think the chiefs are the underdogs. I'm all in on this on this Joe burrow. We're not the underdog narrative anymore. On paper. If you take your like your, your gun out of the US and you just look at it. The Bengals are a better team. They're they're a more rounded team. They're not better offensively. But they're 11 points better defensively this season. Right?
Rayshawn Buchanan:Well 15 Is that Gut Buster? In he's the Grim Reaper, just that SSD name apparently now. So he went he defies all logic. So logically, yes, logically, Cincinnati should be in this game have a chance. 15 defies all logic. He just does. It's ridiculous. How quickly a score. Like it. Listen, the game that did it for me was him. It wasn't even a game against us. It was the gear after you're down. 24 nothing against Houston. And I'm like, Oh my God. I might Deshaun Watson is falling, showing everyone why he's on par. And just like that,
Michael Marcangelo:sent it right back to the spa. Yeah. Jesus. Yeah, he
Rayshawn Buchanan:definitely the massage aspect. Oh my god, they went on the 4201 4001. Like, it's like, What the fuck? Like, how? Oh, how? Like, it's just like, like, what do we like? What do you do with that? So? Yeah, they just have to have to be ready for the onslaught. You know, it also helps that, you know, you have a coach that can hold him to no points in the first half, you know, let the guy know, but you know, offer one that helps. But that's probably not going to happen because of you know, those coaches or even close to the force that we have here. Needless to say, I got Cincinnati, but I got I got I got Kansas City, when this game and it should be a shootout. I think it'd be very close to what we saw last week. But you know that and that leads me to what one asked you nuts? Uh, you know, obviously, you know, we talked about, you know, Burr was held by Harvard, you know, Allen mahomes. But we kind of people kind of I think people are kind of painting mahomes Allen's if we didn't next, you know, robbery. But how do you feel about this one really being the next rival guy. I think this, this has some legs to be the next great robbery in the sea. So I'd love
Michael Marcangelo:I'd love it. I think I mean, the ASC man is just so young now. So we they're set up like they're this conference is going to be taking care of the quarterback position for the next 10 to 15 years. If all goes well, I mean, unless you're cracking up, you think that mahomes only has two more years left? While he's great. You said four years ago, two years ago. So we're gonna so I do think that this is this is it. And this is compelling, because now you have two teams, two quarterbacks that are not afraid of any moment. That can put up 20 points in five minutes of possessing the ball. But I again, I know it might sound crazy. I really think that the Cincinnati is better. The I think that their defense is better and I think it's the honey badger Isn't 100% healthy in this game? We're gonna know early. Because I think I think you know, I think the tiger King is gonna go after him. He's just gonna, he's just going to target where he is where he should have been. Yeah, look,
Rayshawn Buchanan:look, look LSU LSU crime there. Yeah, I mean, I mean,
Michael Marcangelo:yeah, but in terms of the speed of the rivalry, yeah, I
Rayshawn Buchanan:know. But send me the guy I'm going out on that defense is 49. You know, we're sourcing, aka the want to be Jason seehorn. You know, there's a designated job for you. But uh, you know, he, that's the guy to go after he sucks. He fucking blows. I go at him all night long. So wherever you want to listen, you want to put them on Chase. I'm praying. They put him on Chase. I'm praying could Whoa, it's going to be a problem. all capital letters for source and if that's the case, so they better bring over the top help. They better bring the National Guard whenever they need to do to help their sorry, like, Help Help them man out on Sunday night. It's going to be a problem. So they Spagna looks bags but a blitz all night. That's what he does. That's that's his specialty. He better blitz them up all night long. If not, you're you're gonna go home, Roger, you go you go home, go home. But if you don't get to him, it's gonna be a wrap. So they got to figure that part out, but I'm excited to see but I'm gonna go chiefs 30. bag was 27. So I think that as I said, it's gonna be it's gonna be awesome.
Michael Marcangelo:I think the Chiefs I think the Bengals are gonna win. But if if the if the Chiefs score more than 24 points, you're gonna win the game. That's the key. Because if you can hold the chiefs to less than 24 points, I think you ever do you have a real shot of winning that game, because you're often to put up that. If this turns it, if it turns into a track me. I'll bet on the horse that we've seen and that has won so far. But I just I really want to pick the Bengals. Because when was the last time in our lifetime that you could sink in maybe even think about it a little bit. I know that you disagree with me right now. But the Bengals have a pretty good chance to win this game.
Rayshawn Buchanan:No, I know. I think they have a shot, that they're gonna win it. I'm saying right. But
Michael Marcangelo:yeah, but just think about that. When's the last time we could we've never been able to say that. No, I mean,
Rayshawn Buchanan:no, no, no, never. And I say, you know, everyone here was that, for me was born in the late 80s. So yeah, they were they were really good in the 80s. All the whole decade to not just not just a couple of years, and it was good. So, you know, Anthony Munoz, you know, Chris Cosworth, who now works on NBC, you know, I played for them, you know, obviously, Boomer side. So, you know, they, you know, they have some Hall of Famers on that team. Yeah, for sure. You know, for sure, but yeah, yeah. But hey, listen, dude, this isn't this is not your Achilles Smith Bengals. Kid, John Carter's not walking through that door. Peter works out walking through that door. So they have come a long way. You know, a Louis is awkward. Washington pop
Michael Marcangelo:to Martin Lewis isn't walking through
Rayshawn Buchanan:yet. Yeah. You know, yeah, exactly. You know, you know, it's just like, wow, but that's, you know, so what we'll see but but yeah, and I want to tell you, I'm not seeing that unless it either way, it's gonna be a phenomenal game. And I can't wait to see how winner falls on Sunday evening. So but let's get to the other game in the NFC. So it is the Rams 40 Niners part three, so it is the trilogy. Obviously the the 40 Niners I think have won both matchup. So you know, same question, actually. You know, so what do you what do you keep victory for everything is gonna
Michael Marcangelo:win? Yeah. So I think conventionally, I would say or historically, it's hard for a team to be you three times in the NFL in the same season. Like that doesn't happen very often. But I think that the San Francisco offense is dynamic enough, and that their defense again, San Francisco's average, they average 25 points a game, they allowed 13 and a half points again, LA, allowed 27 points game and they and they allowed 19, right, so San Francisco can score just as much, but they they allow fewer. The Keys of the game are Jimmy G not making mistakes. Now, when I say that, I mean he, he can't make six terrible throws. He can make four, he'll always make four, that's fine. If you make six, they're going to lose. And by that same token, I think that if we see a situation where the rams are down seven, or even, you know, 10 points in the second quarter, Stafford's going to freak out. I think he will prove me wrong. I'd be glad. I'd be really glad to see that. Matthew Stafford leads him on a fourth quarter comeback. But I will say what we've seen from San Francisco in the last two weeks Are if you just keep it close until the fourth quarter, they're going to try and let us like, just capitalize on those mistakes. So it's I think it's this is like such a basic answer. It's don't make mistakes. Don't make six bad throws. And remember what got you here? Right? It is. It is. Tivo did that man is is different. And for the Rams, it's, you know, Cooper cup. Make somebody stalking because nobody could.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yeah, I actually think it's gonna be the obj game. Honestly, I think obj is gonna have a field day. Come Come Sunday. He's doing he's doing and he's had he's had to just he's had a good, you know, stand with them. Since he's been there. It's time and I you know, I know. You know, Joe, you know, I know join up changing your stance on what he thought But uh, yeah, he's been he's been great for LA. I think it's hard for him to remind people how good he can be when when the lights are on. So I expect him to have it won't be like a gate Davis type thing. But can I see five receptions for 120 because they're paying so much attention to Cooper cup. And then we forget that you gotta you gotta have a barn burner right next to you. Because if he catches something in a slump, he's out of there. He still got TrackSTar speed, you're still super quick. So I totally expect him to have a decent game. And far as the best effort come back into fourth quarter. He's actually had quite a few of those in his career, if I'm not mistaken, game when the job was like, once again, even though they sucked in Detroit like it. He's had a lot of those over there and Detroit. So I'm totally fine with him being in that moment saying that, you know, he can leave something to come back. You know, they're down somewhere down 10 They find a way. You know, now that's Jalen Ramsey. Step up, Aaron Donald, step up, let her Floyd step up. So, you know, they spent all this money on gay guys on defense as well. It's not just on it's not just on Stafford and, you know, and the crew offensively it's all that divas now. Okay, cool. You need to find a way to hug Jimmy G. Because Aaron Donald is phenomenal. Best interior lineman I've seen in a long time, you know, promises, parses warrants out, you know, unless I'm missing somebody, but that's the first guy I thought of, you know, they need to be over to Tampa Bay. On Sunday. That's a need to be and they need they need that. They need that type of on Miller. Von Miller. Yeah, yeah. Formula Two. Yep. Like, you eat 2016 on on on there. So they get that there. There was this little ball and you know, it'd be RAM seats. And, you know, boy, get a rematch. So that Monday night game back in 2018, which is one of the best Monday Night Football games I've ever seen. Ah, but yeah, but like, Listen, I don't think Jimmy G does more than 10 times. I really don't. So when you say you know, so maybe it's a six good throws. The other four just trash.
Michael Marcangelo:If he makes six bad throws out of 10 attempts. We're gonna be over there in trouble. I think statline will read at the end of this game. Jimmy g 18. For 28 232 yards, a touchdown in a pic.
Rayshawn Buchanan:So I'll give us that language emoji. I'm ready to go 18 to 30 No, I'm joking by saying it's they're gonna have a beat. Yeah, someone who says yes to so 18 to 32 touchdowns, free picks. It's going to happen. Jay rim is going to get one hell bombilla by mess around and get one in the beginning of the game. So you just you just never know. He's just really friendly. And He wants everyone to be involved. So he's gonna make sure that the rams are involved as well. It's gonna be it's gonna be a family affair. But yeah, I got I got RAM sheet. So yeah. Are you going big with 40 Niners and so
Michael Marcangelo:I'm going out. It's Flashback Friday. Now Nielsen do it on Saturday. It's this is a this is 1988. All over again. This time, I'm going Bengals and in 40 Niners in the Super Bowl and Bengals are going to win.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Okay, yeah, I'm going to ram sheets. And I think that mahomes is the second was perfect. There'll be no 3434 27 Something like that. It'd be a shootout but I say it'll be Yeah, I think he gets a second ring and you know, starting to talk they start changing the narrative, or adding to the narrative because he's already looked at as the best evidence and he was like, already winning one, but I said demands a special talent. So a way that doesn't matter. No,
Michael Marcangelo:no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Rayshawn Buchanan:What else you want to add?
Michael Marcangelo:The Baseball Hall of Fame. Sorry.
Rayshawn Buchanan:That's what I said. That's what I say. Baseball. Let me let let but let me let me continue. Son. Thank
Michael Marcangelo:you. I will start off with that. That does it for No, no, no, no. I said
Rayshawn Buchanan:that does it for our football portion because that's why Craig shook his head. Thank you. I appreciate that. You keep that in it. So great. So Now that exit for football. Let's let's move it on to the Baseball Hall of Fame. So, listen, man, obviously David Ortiz. Obviously we know he started his career in Minnesota but everyone remembers him as a wrestler, as they should, you know, was able to see is deserving of this hall of fame bid in your opinion.
Michael Marcangelo:Yes. Yep. I think when you think about David Ortiz and and what he did for the Red Sox in, you know, during a time when they hadn't won at six years, that they were known as, as chokers in the playoffs. That Oh, four, I mean, it's still it. Go back and listen to the rewrap show notes like that is one of the most beautiful postseasons that I've ever seen in my life. So yes, David Ortiz deserves to be in the Hall of Fame
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yeah, no I mean listen He He i and I've said this before like off the air to people people have looked at me like I'm crazy to me David Ortiz means more to Boston the Tom Brady and is and I know as some some may shake their head somebody was shaking their head right now and it's okay. Oh for once again I say like showing up right? That Championship I made that the hunger that was in this city after losing and oh three you know I said we don't have to set the scene you guys you guys listen to this you guys know us you know you're 20,000 songs with us right now already you guys have already listened to it you guys know know what it is? You know time at the time of the tunnel the time and time again the man came through in the postseason Um, here's he is to me a top five forces performer that I did I've seen in my life I'm very there's other guys that have done different things like Reggie Jackson and you know I get that but for my for my money would never see his daddy come over overly Oh, three on I say you know, the first thing I remember. Obviously he just hit folk, again for no three division around just that Roadable with with the wonderful Joe Morgan God rest his soul and John Miller. You know, making that call like that. That was that's iconic. You know, you know, the home run over? Right? Failed game for a state. There's just so many moments you can go to and think of, you know, with an ace well deserving. So, but obviously, you know, there's always people that feel that people get snubbed or in this case, it's really the biggest I'm really ever. So you kind of know where I'm going with this on this one. So obviously, Clemens Roger Clemens, who was a former Red Sox and then Barry Bonds, who was you know, currently the all the time you know, home running leader. What are your thoughts about them not getting in into the voting into changing your opinion?
Michael Marcangelo:Yeah, I think it's absolutely it's absolutely embarrassing. And, and baseball writers BB wa le whatever that whatever the hell acronym you want to give yourself. If you if you're grading people and allowing them to enter the Baseball Hall of Fame. Based on whether or not you think that they did steroids or performance enhancing drugs. David Ortiz never tested positive for BD DS. Barry Bonds, never tested positive for T dS. Roger Clemens never tested positive for TDs. Out of those three people that I just named and remember, I do believe that Ortiz should be in is Roger Clemens, a Hall of Famer without steroids, pre steroids. But you can you can you draw that line? I can?
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yeah. From 86 to 96 as grand boss absolutely
Michael Marcangelo:great. Is varivas. a Hall of Famer without steroids.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yeah. His career in Pittsburgh was was more than enough. Absolutely. Absolutely.
Michael Marcangelo:David Ortiz, a Hall of Famer without steroids. Yeah. You sure? Yeah. Sure. I think he benefited the most from that. I think you No, I think he used them. I think Manny use them. I think that doesn't matter to me. But if if if that's the reason as to why you're not going to allow players in and you're keeping players out that had Hall of Fame careers before they started juicing. And again, Barry Bonds looked like. I mean, it's it's laughable the difference between 1998 Barry Bonds and 1999 Barry Bonds like we get it? Sure. Maybe don't outlaw something, you know, in Major League Baseball, like you did in 1993. And then not test for it. If you don't want people using it, test for it. Oh, and by the way, don't reward to Reuters for saving the game of baseball and glorifying what they did. And in 1998 So yes, David Ortiz should be an absolutely but so should so should Roger Clemens. So should Barry Bonds. And they're not because it's not just about what happens on the field. If you're not nice to the reporters, Why hold it against you right now? I said on the show before, I don't think I don't think Curt Schilling necessarily is a Hall of Famer in my opinion. Right. That's my that's my opinion. I think he's a postseason Hall of Famer. I think that run with the Diamondbacks. And then again, oh, four with us. That's that that is Hall of Fame material. And he lost 6% of the vote that he got from last year to this year. And he didn't play. So that's, that's strictly just, that's how you feel about his politics, or about him as a person. Or as his little you know, when he's off there building shelves in his in his bomb shelter. was the man nails in the postseason? Yeah. Hell yeah. So tell me what the grading what are we grading them on? Are they nice people? I'm sure that there's a bunch of white guys in the hall of fame from from the 60s, the 50s. The 30s That probably not in today's day and age are not great human beings. And they're in and Barry Bonds isn't because he took steroids.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Well, let's make it a little more plain. Those guys he was talking about. They was calling Jackie Robinson everything but a child of God. And guarantee Hall of Fame. Yeah. So it's just like, you know, I'm saying like to me, hell, even Shoeless Joe Jackson. He should be in it. Pete Pete heat, frickin rose should be in the Hall of Fame. Once again, he helped the game grow. And they and I said this to somebody the other day. I said, we're treating David Ortiz. He was fucking Brady Anderson. And I don't like that. I don't fucking like that. Just because Brady actually had one great season. One great season. And 51 was loser Baltimore. I get it. You know, but it's just like don't don't make it seem like this man was was Brady Anderson or a which I think was something like or even even a guy that was a CMA for a few years later. He's not fucking Josh Reddick. Like don't don't don't disrespect him. No, don't do that. Don't do that. Like, I'm I'm sorry. You stole from from eye to ball. You still got to hit that motherfucker. And he did that. 541 times.
Michael Marcangelo:Yeah, it's great five times. So 23rd all time, dude.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Right. So it's just like, come on. So it's just, I mean, I'll be I'll be sure. And once again 500 used to be that magic number. It's not as much nap as guys do. Just hitting it. It's ridiculous. But it's like, but why? Why did you see that magic number?
Unknown:Yeah. Eddie Murray and some of the guys that McGriff
Rayshawn Buchanan:yeah from McGriff. Yeah. So, you know, it's like, Oh, come on. Yeah, it's this ridiculous, man. It's trash.
Michael Marcangelo:I think that they all used her. I think they'll use performance enhancing drugs. I think that Oh, cool. But if that's the reason why you're saying that you people are out and we all can just just all assume that all three of those people did it. Who benefited the most from using steroids. And out of those three, I would argue, would be David Ortiz, he didn't play a position. He didn't have a natural swing at all, by the way, but it was It wasn't God's gift to swing like Ken Griffey or even Barry Bonds. Right. It was an unorthodox swing that required power. And he stayed and he was powerful consistently, yes. But the argument can be made that the baseball writers let him in because he was a media darling. And not because they that his name, or his sample was leaked, and that they're going to discredit it because it was like, great, that's fine. But as a DH you benefit more from using PDS and he started using what he was to what he was teammates with Manny
Rayshawn Buchanan:sure but no sure what it's like to me yeah the DH thing okay i It's him Edgar Martinez this there's no one like there's no one else need to talk about what to do he was free to play first Play Store to play first base but I'm not I'm not looking anywhere else but you know, but you want to play him in there fine like Frank's house was also a big box I think about he also played a first was but listen if guys like Tim rains are in Harold Baines is in
Unknown:don't tell him Well, Jeff
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yeah background Yeah, you know another another form of us all we got drafted by us but yeah, but it's like come on. Come on. Come on. I don't Don't tell me that Roger Clemens and very bizarre Yeah, the media thing that absolutely played a part and in some sometimes I do wish that they did played a you know the day played the game a little bit because you can you should not have a Hall of Fame without those guys now great. They can still get written and I get that I forget the process, but they can still get random. They can still find the same. But the what? The Veterans Committee sorry if there's Yeah, so it's just like that. That's in the hat that that needs to happen. It's like Oh, come on. Listen, uh, from from Oh, listen that 2001 season when he hits 73 bombs like late like Dun Dun is like a call. ravish on Baseball tonight. I remember just like this man Dave was on there every night show me something this fan was doing. He said, he said like, there you have it every night. That was every night. I don't know that the Giants got it does the games but I thought it was a pretty good impression. But, but that's really that's really what was going on, like, every everybody who's tuning in, and even in oh seven when he passes, hey, what do you get for 755? I think it gets San Diego. You know, it's a bombing to centerfield like, this man helped grow the game. The eyes were all in San Francisco, the game, people wanted to see what he was gonna do on a nightly basis. Like, same thing with Roger Clemens. The mayor had 320 strikeout games at Boston that they wanted to get Seattle. I think the other two are the other ones against Detroit. Tom just like, oh, this this man performed it. Got to Toronto. unperformed got to New York stuff before. What are we talking about? And I don't care. I don't care. The man did what he had to do. Just stay on the field. And if you're if you can't understand that, as someone who didn't make it past fucking high school baseball, like just just get over it, get over get over it. It's ridiculous. I got into my car. By Damn it. It's ridiculous, man.
Michael Marcangelo:Here's what I'll say. Right? I just have two points before before done with this. My you certainly would need to change. If the answer to the question if you're going to grade people on PDS? If the answer to the question is Was this player, a Hall of Famer without them before we started using them? If the answer is yes, they have to get in, you have to let them in. Because if that's the only reason that you're grading them, then they pass because what when I say that Barry Bonds from the year 1992 To the year 2004, did not hit below 34. home runs in a season, for 12 straight years, he averaged 34 or more homeruns per season. And I think in six of those years, he hit more than 40. Once he hit 73, the man was a one at a time Gold Glove winner. He could play defense he was he was the the only member that they literally made a club for it was a 500 500 club 500 home runs 500 stolen bases. That man should be the Hall of Fame, Roger Clemens should be a Hall of Fame. What needs to change? They need to remove the human element out of it. Because now and I think what you do outside of your profession, as long as you don't hurt people, or animals, or God, you really cause any grief to anybody. Right? It shouldn't affect how people look at you for what you do in your in your profession. That's what I would say, if you are if you cheat. I don't care what his tire was not going to be in the Hall of Fame because he cheated on his wife down it. She took a seminar. That's $500 million. And here's his success story again.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Right. And I'm not mad at him for that you're about to do the same shit. But no, but no, but that's that's my issue, though. And, you know, we had him on the show. And there's some others that you know, think like him. I'm trouble, Dan, but it's like, do they think this way? It's like, Yo, like, but he's fair.
Michael Marcangelo:There was no, yes. But but but he's not inconsistent. He's not like people who so I was wrong.
Rayshawn Buchanan:He's, he's wrong. They all have favorite manufacturers. The Hall of Famer
Michael Marcangelo:here but But what Dan did, and what others didn't is Chauncey made a a blanket statement. If you ever used I'm not going to vote you in that that's his stance. There were 40 there were 40 writers that voted for teas that did not vote for Clemens robots. What stance Do you have? Was it about it? Not not you about them? Because it ain't about PDS. It's about who was nice to you. That's it. That's it.
Rayshawn Buchanan:We all know that Basel's a jerk. We know that. No, that was a jerk. The girl is you tuned in to watch the man plate every night. You know? And once again, we talked about we talked about polar seasons and I get it you know this man was getting you know he was getting intentionally washed with the patient. Lord, I get that but if we want something Yeah, we want someone post seasons. It's not even fucking close.
Michael Marcangelo:I mean, his best post season was 2002. Uh, he was he was excellent in that world series against the angels and people forget about that. Like he played a we did a good game. Yeah. Yeah, but he played so well. But up until that point, he was a choker. Like he was terrible in Pittsburgh's NLCS and and whatever energy playoff runs, he was notoriously bad. Towards the end of his career. He got better. And he was fired out here but yeah, I think Listen, when I say when you see me post that it's embarrassing that David Ortiz is in and that bonds and Clemens are I'm not saying or tea shouldn't have been in I'm saying those other two deserve to be there as well.
Rayshawn Buchanan:Yeah, and and that's how we that's how we ended. So for Money Mike mortgage. Hello, I'm Rochelle Buchanan. For Executive Producer Craig D'Alessandro. This has been missing the point. We'll see you next time. Peace.
