the takeaway here is though is I'm just so happy it's back man. Like before we get into it. I have to say like the feeling around this football season to me is different than it was last year. dk brought it up before to it just it feels more real with the fans there with everything going on with the full preseason an offseason. Like everything just feels like a real beginning of the NFL season. And and Thursday to Sunday. Obviously Thursday was special to me, because I love the way we looked. But like you only lost but we'll get that Thursday to Sunday just was so amazing. And the fact that fantasies back to the fact that like my screen time average on Sunday was like 18 hours was the best thing I've ever you know what I mean? Like I got my report, it was like, yeah, football is definitely back. So it's just so good that let's get right into week one. You know, I want to start we'll get into overreactions from week one and a little bit, but I want to talk about our teams first. So let's dive right into the opening game of the season. buccaneers Cowboys, man, what a game that was. First of all, I have to say I was such a cool way to start off the season. having the chance to play my boys and my boys hung tough. Man, they showed a lot. And if this is the team that shows up for the rest of the year, right you think they have a legit shot? I mean, to me it looks like our defense showed up. JACK Prescott was showed no ill effects of that injury man, if anything, you look better than he did before the injury. So so so would you think the Cowboys a legit contender in the NFC? No,

I think I mean, I didn't even legit before. I mean, we did talk about them winning the division in our you know, in our preview show, so you can check that out in the show notes. You know, so I just think that, you know, that deck was at an MVP level Thursday night, and there's no denying that, you know, I obviously, you know, jokes always come when the Cowboys play because people just love to rag on them and talk about 99 cents it's on for years. But look, all that regardless of that deck bald, I do feel a little more balanced. Oh, listen, you pays Ezekiel Elliott $90 million, not to wear crop tops shirts, but to actually produce on the field. And the fact that he didn't do much on Thursday night. I think if He even gave your son five yards meal Thursday night, who knows? Maybe, you know, you're not needing a field goal from Greg Carolina at the end, right? And it's funny, right? So obviously, you know, people are gonna say it this day or listen to this and say hindsight is 2020 but I told my boy Kevin was also a diehard Cowboys fan like you. He was like, What do you have? What do you have those and as I got to 3128 like, he was like, no way. I was like, Yo, I don't know. I think I was I think y'all got it. And Windsor went at the field while I was like, Yo, I told you bro, like, I was like, y'all get officially I said defensively might be a little shaky still but as especially your DAX on you saw it for five games. I said like is he his money? So that's what I saw. So I was okay, so you're winning and then you know that man 12 gets to get gets the ball but one minute 20 seconds and I told him I say I'm sorry, bro. Man and so too so the thing about the Zeke point, so I guess I don't know if it if it's hearsay or if it's revisit revisionist if I could talk revisionist history, but the Oh coordinator for the Cowboys said he called 14 other run plays that Dak checked out of because he didn't like the look and that's why the passing was so much more heavy. Was sounds like the covering their ass to me. Like that's why Zeke didn't get any yards. But you know, who knows? The Tom Brady part, man, I gotta say, when zuerlein hit that fuel goal. I was so pumped. I looked down at the clock. And I saw a minute and 22 seconds left. And I was just like, bro, we're not fucking winning this game. We're not winning this game. And Katie was sitting there. She's like, what do you mean you're not winning? Just watch that. Just watch. And then like clockwork, it was the most Tom Brady ask. pitcher asked to drive I've ever seen dump down the field five to 10 yards at a time, one big play 15 yards, and then another five yards, five yards, five yards. But it there's nothing you can do about it when it gets to that point, which is why I like to say Joe in the chat man. Tom Brady is the greatest ever. There is no getting around like he is. He's so good. Bad is like, I've never seen a quarterback that you knew. If it's over a minute, and they have even if there's no timeouts over a minute, he's going down the field and they're gonna get a chance to win that game. So I loved it. I loved every second of it. I thought we looked awesome. I wasn't expecting us to be in that game like we were. Yes, I walk away happy from it would love to have it. Greg's are alive. You're killing me with those bactrim day that better go to the chiropractor tomorrow. But bro, what are you gonna do? That's the way I look at is like, what are you gonna do it? There's nothing we couldn't we stopped Tom Brady's three times in that fourth quarter, and big drives. And those things. Last year, the Dallas Cowboys had no semblance of you looking like they were closer. Do you know what I mean? last year that last year's cowboys lose that game 44 to 70. And they fumble three times in the first quarter. So it just feels like a different team to me. We'll see. charges are going to tell a lot this year. But what else? Yeah,

So it's important that bill, his son, Dr. Mayo, Troy Brown, and whoever else is there, like they have to instill what it means to be a patriot what it means to play disciplined football, when and what it means to play winning football. And that that did not show that in that show. Not you guys specifically, like patriots fans in general. that there would be at least three to four flow throws week one, that you'd be like, oh, okay, that's what we're doing. And it happens that James White throw, throws the touchdown, the born there was there was a few more throws that like you're just watching it and you're like, that's an NFL quarterback, man. That's those are the throws that that needs any event? Yes. Was there sloppy mistakes? Yes. Did he look like a rookie at times 100%. But like you're saying he was getting a kitchen sink started him by not only a good defense, but maybe one of the better defenses in the NFL. Oh, for sure. Definitely one of the more aggressive defenses in the NFL with which is huge, because literally, he's got six, seven guys coming into his face. all game long. And I thought that was most impressive thing was like, yeah, his completion percentage was high. But how he handled that Blitz, play in and play out being able to pick who he was going to find in this hot route. You know what I mean? Just actually playing the quarterback position. As a rookie was very impressive to me. And I think brighter days are ahead for Matt, john Mack Jones is going to have a few games this season where you couldn't be like, Oh, my goodness, and was I'm not gonna sit here and talk to the Patriots. I'm not you guys all know this. But he's good, man. And that may be an overreaction, and we'll get there too. But I'm just saying he's a really good quarterback. You guys are lucky to have.

So I'm also looking forward to the Tigers being more part of the offense. And I think it's gonna be really tough to take them down. At the next overreaction. The Cleveland Browns are the same Cleveland Browns because they believe that game in Kansas City. What do you sell it for? I got for everyone who lives under a rock cleaver brown two white 18 point lead. It was 18 it was 28. Yes, it's what 20 to 10 Yep. 2010. Right.
