Dave, Rayshawn, and Bob are all eager to discuss the Celtics' chances of making a deep playoff run this year. The regular season starts to matter after the post-all-star break period. The Celtics have thrived in these high-pressure situations.
The conversation turns to specific players, and Rayshawn highlights Derrick White's impressive progression over the past few months. Although White's consistent shooting and overall contribution to the team have not gone unnoticed, has Marcus Smart's injury been the best thing to happen to him?
Bob points out that this season, the Celtics are getting more contributions from their bench players than in seasons past, especially from Malcolm Brogdon, Grant Williams, and the newest addition to the team, Mike Muscala. We can all agree on Joe Mazzulla's impact on the team. Initially, there were doubts about his ability to lead. Still, the players have bought into his leadership style and are playing with a newfound energy and purpose.
The TD Garden faithful will undoubtedly be rooting hard for the Celtics as they look to bring another championship back to Boston. With a talented roster, a committed coach, and plenty of momentum, this team could be a force to be reckoned with come playoff time. Stay tuned!
